Foundation of Ultrasound in Aesthetic Medicine
Foundation of Ultrasound in Aesthetic Medicine course includes didactic lecture with hands-on training to allow participants to learn how to effectively use ultrasound to increase patient safety and effectiveness of treatment. The course includes the fundamental basics of ultrasound, image acquisition and optimization, normal anatomy, filler recognition, Doppler evaluation of vessels, and tips on image interpretation. This course is led by a radiologist to help non-radiologists better understand the fundamentals of ultrasound and how to effectively implement it into their practice.
Target Audience
Medical aesthetic providers: physicians, dentists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nurses.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to: - Understand clinical indications for ultrasound in aesthetics - Understand core ultrasound physics, probe handling, and image optimization - Recognize ultrasound modes and their applications - Identify normal facial anatomy on ultrasound - Use Doppler to evaluate facial vessels - Recognize dermal filler
