Management of Atrial Fibrillation in Athletes: An Impactful Microlearning Approach Focused on New Recommendations for Evaluating and Treating AF in Athletes

These enduring microlearning activities provide athletic trainers with concise, evidence-based education on the evaluation, management, and treatment of atrial fibrillation (AF) in athletes. Addressing gaps in current knowledge and limited familiarity with recent HRS consensus recommendations, these activities equip learners to recognize key risk factors, understand diagnostic nuances specific to athletes, and support rehabilitation following catheter ablation. By strengthening skills in screening, risk identification, and post-procedural care, these activities enhances interdisciplinary collaboration and improves referral pathways, ultimately supporting safer return-to-play decisions and optimized cardiovascular care for athletes with suspected or confirmed AF.

Commercial Support
These activities are supported from an independent medical education grant from Biosense Webster, Inc. and Boston Scientific.
