Carlos Sandoval is Family Nurse Practitioner and Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist (CANS) with over 15 years of experience in medical dermatology, aesthetic medicine, and clinical education. He currently serves as Director of Aesthetic Medicine at Swan Medical in Danville and Los Gatos, California, where he leads the Aesthetic Wellness division one of the three core pillars of Swan’s integrated model alongside Intimate and Longevity Wellness.

As Aesthetic Director, Carlos specializes in facial and skin balancing using advanced injectables, lasers, and regenerative treatments. His clinical approach blends science, artistry, and safety to deliver natural, confidence-restoring results. At Swan Medical, he collaborates closely with Dr. Peter Castillo (Founder and Intimate Wellness lead) and Elizabeth Cooper, PA (Longevity & Hormone Optimization lead) to position the practice as a Center of Excellence in integrative wellness medicine.

Professional Roles and Leadership

Carlos is an Allergan Medical Institute (AMI) Faculty Member and BOTOX® Ambassador, one of only 22 experts nationwide selected for the inaugural Masters of BOTOX® Cosmetic Program a scientific and educational collaboration advancing evidence-based injectable training. He also serves as a Key Opinion Leader (KOL) and Consultant for Sciton, working with the Bay Area Laser Lab to conduct internal R&D clinical studies, product launches, and training initiatives.

Through his company, Carlos Aesthetic Lasers & Injectables Consulting, PC, he provides advanced injector trainings, curriculum development, and safety education for medical professionals. His educational philosophy centers on empowering injectors to achieve safe, efficacious, and natural results grounded in evidence-based science.

Academic and Research Pursuits

Carlos is completing his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at San José State University, where his doctoral project  “Advanced Adverse Event Training for HA Filler Injectors”  focuses on structured education to prevent and manage complications from hyaluronic acid fillers. 

His DNP initiative reflects his long-standing commitment to elevating safety and competency standards within aesthetic medicine, combining scholarly rigor with real-world clinical application.

Carlos’s journey  from front-desk receptionist and medical assistant to national faculty and doctoral candidate embodies perseverance, mentorship, and the pursuit of excellence.
