Her clinical focus is medical micropigmentation, including:
3D areola repigmentation following mastectomy or reconstructive breast surgery

Trauma scar restoration (burns, lacerations, dog bites)
Vitiligo blending and pigment normalization
Corrective permanent makeup and pigment revision
Ruth works in close collaboration with plastic surgeons, breast surgeons, dermatologic surgeons, and oncology teams to provide non-invasive aesthetic restoration following reconstructive procedures. Her work is grounded in advanced color theory, pigment reactivity assessment, Fitzpatrick-based customization, and tissue-specific technique to ensure safe, natural, and anatomically harmonious outcomes.
As a network provider for Cedars-Sinai Medical Group, Ruth provides areola micropigmentation services to breast cancer patients and works in coordination with surgical teams to optimize postoperative timing and outcomes. She also partners with UCLA’s oncology and plastic surgery departments and provides pro-bono restorative services to underserved breast cancer survivors through Adventist Health White Memorial Hospital.
Ruth has been recognized nationally as the scar camouflage and medical tattoo specialist on multiple seasons of Botched, reflecting her expertise in complex corrective cases. Her work has also been featured across major broadcast networks. Ruth’s role within the multidisciplinary team is to provide aesthetic closure and pigment restoration that complements surgical reconstruction, enhancing patient satisfaction and psychosocial recovery.
