Renelle Lim, MD

Renelle Lim, MD, FACS, is a board-certified ophthalmologist and double fellowship-trained oculofacial plastic surgeon and ocular oncologist with subspecialty expertise in cosmetic and reconstructive periocular surgery.
She earned her medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center and subsequently completed two fellowships at Wills Eye Hospital in ocular oncology and oculoplastic and orbital surgery.
Dr. Lim later joined the faculty of Yale School of Medicine as an Assistant Professor and served as Director of the Ocular Oncology Service at the Yale Smilow Cancer Center. During her tenure, she led NIH-funded research, published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, and presented nationally and internationally on ocular oncology and reconstructive surgery.
She is the founder of the Institute of Dermatology and Oculoplastic Surgery, with locations in Sarasota and Bradenton. Her practice is among the few in the region to integrate oculofacial plastic surgery, dermatology, and Mohs micrographic surgery within a single specialized setting.
Dr. Lim’s clinical interests include upper and lower blepharoplasty, brow lifting, ptosis repair, reconstructive periocular surgery, liposuction with facial fat grafting, and advanced laser skin rejuvenation and resurfacing procedures.
