Linda Nguyen, MD

Dr. Linda Nguyen is the Chief of Gastroenterology at Hoag Digestive Health Institute and Clinical Professor of Medicine at Stanford University. Her clinical and research interests include GI motility disorders, with an emphasis on gastroparesis and functional dyspepsia. She was a recipient of the “Master Clinician Award” for the Stanford Department of Medicine and the Distinguished Investigator Award for Women in Neurogastroenterology from the American Neurogastroenterology and Motility Society. Her current research includes identifying biomarkers to better diagnose motility disorders, understanding the role/impact of physiologic testing on clinical care and exploring novel therapies for treatment of motility disorders. She is especially interested in developing cross disciplinary collaborations in the diagnosis and treatment of chronic digestive disorders. She was the Interim Chief of Gastroenterology at Stanford and passionate about professional development and mentorship, quality of life and physician wellness.
