Genise Green is a nurse practitioner based in Pennsylvania, with extensive expertise in cardiology and critical care. She
began her career in 2004 after receiving her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Edinboro University. At the start of her
career, she worked as a registered nurse in General Cardiology and the Cardiac Catheterization Lab.
Building on her nursing experience, Ms. Green earned a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Pittsburgh,
specializing as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with a focus on cardiology and pulmonology. She has had a diverse
career, with experience as a nurse practitioner in inpatient cardiology and critical care. After five years of experience as a
Cardiology Nurse Practitioner and seven years as a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner, Ms Green returned to the Cardiology
team in 2021. She now serves as the Clinical Project Director of the Cardiac Amyloidosis and Hypertrophic
Cardiomyopathy Programs at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
In her current role, Ms. Green leads initiatives to advance treatment and patient care. She actively participates in
multiple research studies focused on hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and cardiac amyloidosis. Ms Green also serves as the Western Pennsylvania CV Teams Lead for the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American College of Cardiology.
