Victoria Bacon, licensed and certified genetic counselor
Vickie Bacon is a genetic counselor in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who spends time in both prenatal genetics and adult cardiac genetics. She graduated from California State University, Long Beach, in 2012, with a Bachelor's in Biology. From there, she moved to Oregon and worked providing direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities before becoming a Services Coordinator for Linn County Developmental Disabilities Services. She moved to Pittsburgh in 2017, where she completed her Master of Public Health Genetics, as well as her Master of Science in Genetic Counseling at the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health. In addition to clinical roles, she also participates in the training and education of genetic counseling students, medical students, residents, and fellows. Vickie is passionate about public health and equitable access to care, and has an interest in postmortem genetic testing.
