Integrative Healthcare Symposium 2026
This educational activity addresses a critical practice gap among clinicians who lack up-to-date, evidence-based strategies to manage chronic, multi-system illness driven by interconnected factors such as neuroinflammation, hormonal imbalance, metabolic dysfunction, and post-infectious syndromes. Traditional siloed approaches often fail to identify root causes, resulting in persistent symptoms and diminished quality of life. Through an integrative, systems-based framework, this activity translates emerging research into practical clinical application, strengthening learners’ understanding of complex pathophysiology while providing actionable tools for assessment, biomarker interpretation, and personalized intervention. Using case-based examples and interactive discussion, participants will enhance diagnostic precision, apply evidence-informed strategies targeting neuroendocrine and inflammatory pathways, and integrate comprehensive care models into routine practice. This multidisciplinary activity supports patient-centered, evidence-based care and collaboration across healthcare teams, ultimately improving patient outcomes and overall healthspan in individuals with complex chronic disease states.
Target Audience
This activity is designed for an audience of physicians.
Learning Objectives
- Interpret and apply current evidence-based nutrition and integrative health research to inform clinical decision-making, disease prevention strategies, and personalized care across the lifespan.
- Evaluate the safety, efficacy, and appropriate use of nutrition-related interventions—including dietary patterns, supplements, lifestyle strategies, and emerging integrative approaches—within ethical and professional standards of practice.
- Integrate systems-based and whole-person frameworks (e.g., metabolic, microbiome, neuroimmune, hormonal, and behavioral models) to support nutrition assessment, intervention planning, and patient education.
- Translate scientific evidence into practical counseling, education, and care strategies that address individual, population, and public health nutrition challenges while accounting for health equity, access, and patient-centered goals.
