Allison Jones, MD

Dr. Allison Vaughan Jones, MD, FAAD, is an Associate Professor in the University of Tennessee Department of Dermatology in Memphis and serves as the Dermatology Residency Program Director at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC). She also directs UTHSC’s Transplant Dermatology program and the Cutaneous T-Cell Lymphoma Clinic, reflecting a clinical and academic focus on complex medical dermatology, immunosuppression-related skin disease, and cutaneous lymphoma care.
Dr. Jones earned her B.S. in Biochemistry from Mississippi State University and her medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. She completed a preliminary medicine internship followed by dermatology residency training at UTHSC, where she served as Chief Resident. Board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology since 2017, she is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and an active leader in organized dermatology, including service as President of the Tennessee Dermatology Society.
Committed to education, mentorship, and scholarship, Dr. Jones is a regular lecturer for resident and medical student conferences and directs multiple resident journal clubs. Her work includes IRB-approved research on skin cancer and precancerous lesions in organ transplant recipients, along with peer-reviewed publications and national service such as membership on the NCCN Cutaneous T-Cell/Primary Cutaneous Lymphoma Guidelines Panel.
