Michael Shenoda, Michael Shenoda, M.D., FACC, FSCAI

Born and raised in Southern California, Dr. Michael Shenoda attended medical school at Michigan State University. He attended the UCLA-Olive View program for internship and residency in Internal Medicine. Cardiology fellowship training was performed at the Cedars-Sinai/West Los Angeles Veteran Affairs combined program, where he was Chief Fellow. He then underwent Interventional Cardiology fellowship training at UCLA. He moved to Santa Barbara, where he is now a Structural Heart Disease Interventional Cardiologist for Cottage Hospital. He performs high risk and complex Percutaneous Coronary Interventions, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement, Transcatheter Mitral Valve Replacement, Left atrial appendage occlusion, Transcatheter edge-to-edge mitral valve repair with MitraClip, Transcatheter edge-to-edge tricuspid valve repair with TriClip, Atrial Septal Defect/Patent Foramen Ovale closure, peripheral interventions, and paravalvular leak repairs. He also participates in numerous clinical trials, serving as the local principal investigator or co-investigator for multi-center trials and investigator-initiated ones. His various leadership roles have included Cardiology Department Chair, Treasurer/Secretary of Cottage Hospital, Vice Chief of Staff at Cottage Hospital, Chair of the Bylaws Committee, and Chair of the Multi-Specialty Peer Review Committee. He is currently Chief of Staff at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital and is also the Medical Director of the Structural Heart Clinic at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
