Sanjiv Narayan, MD PhD

Dr. Narayan is Professor of Medicine, Director of the NIH T32 Computational Medicine Training Program (CHIP), Director of the AF program and Co-Director of the Arrhythmia Center at Stanford University. Dr. Narayan’s lab is focused on improving procedural success and workflow by working at the intersection of bioengineering, data science and cardiac electrophysiology. His group pioneered computerized mapping for AF and VT, and defined tissue-level physiology that has been applied by research and commercial groups worldwide. His Lab has been continuously funded since 2001 by the U.S. National Institutes of Health, Fulbright Foundation and other agencies. He is trained in software engineering, computational and data science and medicine. He is a dedicated mentor, and 2-3 trainees in his group have won research prizes and grants annually since 2003. In 2022 Dr. Narayan received the Distinguished Scientist Award from the Heart Rhythm Society.
