Dr. H. KENITH FANG, MD, FACS
Dr. Fang is a board certified Cardiothoracic surgeon who has been in practice in Phoenix for over two and a half decades. He is a Clinical Professor of Surgery at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Phoenix. He is the Chairman of the Department of Cardiovascular Services and Division Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Banner University Medical Center Phoenix. He is an internationally recognized expert in the field of Structural Heart Therapies, and has a specialized interest in the field of transcatheter valve therapies (TAVR-Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement and TMVR-Transcatheter Mitral Valve Replacement).
He has been voted “Top Doctor” in the field of Cardiothoracic Surgery by his peers as featured in Phoenix Magazine consecutively for over 20 years. Dr Fang is nationally and internationally recognized as an expert in the fields of surgical treatment of Atrial Fibrillation, and lifetime management of valvular heart disease.
He has authored and coauthored over 100 abstracts and manuscripts in peer review journals.
He earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago, and completed his General Surgery residency at Cook County Hospital, where he was selected as the Intern of the Year and Administrative Chief Resident. He then completed his Cardiothoracic Surgery training under the mentorship of Society of Thoracic Surgery Past President, Dr David Fullerton at Northwestern University in Chicago. He is board certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, and the American Board of Surgery.
