UNC HEALTH Pharmacy and Therapeutics Series
The "UNC Health System Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) Committee Series" offers healthcare professionals an in-depth exploration of key pharmacologic updates, formulary recommendations, and clinical management strategies that impact system-wide patient care. At the P&T meeting on March 17, participants will use principles of evidence-based medicine to evaluate formulary change recommendations, assess the impact of optimization initiatives, and develop strategies to optimize patient care and safety across the UNC Health Care System. This series is designed to enhance clinical decision-making, address medication safety concerns, and discuss the cost-effectiveness of therapeutic options, equipping attendees with actionable knowledge to optimize pharmacological practices across diverse healthcare settings.

Learning Objectives
- Describe the differences in adverse event profiles for nafcillin and oxacillin
- Evaluate efficacy, safety, operational, and cost considerations related to the formulary addition of buprenorphine ER for injection for opioid use disorder treatment.
- Explain how results of the DREAMM-7 study impacted the re-entry of belantamab mafodotin to the US market.
- Identify clinical and operational implications of ongoing drug shortages.
