Brief Biography:
Dr. Francois Marcotte has been a member of the Mayo Clinic Arizona staff since 2017. He currently serves as a consultant in the Department of Cardiology, as a member of the Cardiovascular Diseases Research Committee and as a clinical teacher to medical students, residents and fellows at Mayo Clinic Arizona and to medical students at the Alix Mayo Clinic School of Medicine. His board-certified specialty areas include adult cardiology, adult congenital heart disease and non-invasive (echocardiography and cardiac MRI) imaging. Dr. Marcotte is an advanced-level skier and an avid swimmer, hiker, cyclist, and recreational hockey player. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, Canadian Cardiovascular Society and European Society of Cardiology, currently serving as a contributor to the European Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Examination (EuroCMR) Board. His research interests include non-invasive echocardiography and cardiac MRI imaging in congenital heart disease and cardiomyopathy, and the natural history of aortic and prosthetic valve disease.
