Carlos Collet, MD, PhD

Dr. Carlos Collet is an internationally recognized interventional cardiologist with a distinguished career in clinical practice, research, and medical education. He earned his Ph.D. in Cardiovascular Medicine from the University of Amsterdam, where he specialized in coronary physiology, imaging, and precision-guided interventions. He has over 300 peer-reviewed publications in recognized journals like the New England Journal of Medicine, Circulation, Journal of the American College of Cardiology (JACC), and the European Heart Journal. Dr. Collet has played a pivotal role in advancing interventional cardiology. As the inventor of groundbreaking technologies in coronary imaging and physiology, his work has significantly improved the understanding and treatment of patients with coronary artery disease. Dr. Collet was the Co-Director of the Catheterization Laboratory and Scientific Director of the Heart Center at the AZORG hospital in Belgium. Currently, Dr. Collet is the Director of Imaging, Physiology, and Translational Therapeutics at the Cardiovascular Research Foundation, where he leads efforts to integrate state-of-the-art technologies into clinical practice, fostering a translational research approach that bridges innovation with improved patient outcomes.
