Theodore Rosen, MD

After attending Michigan State University as a National Merit Scholar, Dr. Rosen graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School cum laude. He then trained in internal medicine at the University of Alabama and in dermatology at Baylor College of Medicine. He recently retired from Baylor after serving as Professor and Vice-Chair of Dermatology. He has subsequently joined as an Adjunct Professor of Dermatology at the University of Houston School of Medicine and remains Chief of Dermatology at the Houston Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center. Dr. Rosen served on the Board of Directors and is a past Vice-President of the American Academy of Dermatology. He is also a past Vice-President of the Texas Dermatological Society, a past President and Secretary-Treasurer of the Houston Dermatological Society and prior Chairman and Secretary-Treasurer of the Dermatology Section of the Southern Medical Association. Dr. Rosen has written over 325 peer-reviewed journal articles, 30 textbook chapters and 4 textbooks. He has been a plenary speaker for the national dermatology societies of Argentia, Australia, Canada, Chile, China, Italy, Korea, Mexico, New Zealand and Taiwan. On a personal note, Dr. Rosen is a lifelong numismatist and devotee of horror films.
