Tracee Blackburn, DMSc, MSIM, PA-C

Tracee Blackburn is a nationally, board-certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) licensed in Illinois, with certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She has been active in the healthcare industry since 1998 and has focused her practice in Dermatology since 2005. Her background also includes experience in Adolescent and Pediatric Health, where she found joy in caring for children and teens.
A graduate of Midwestern University’s PA program in Downers Grove, Illinois (Class of 2005), Tracee has worked across various healthcare settings. However, she found her true calling in Dermatology, where she specializes in general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatologic care. Her clinical interests include all skin and hair conditions, particularly acne, alopecia, eczema, psoriasis, and hidradenitis suppurativa. A strong advocate for patient education, she believes it plays a crucial role in the healing process.
Tracee holds a Master’s degree in Integrative Medicine from George Washington University and a Doctorate of Medical Science from Southern Illinois University. She specializes in Integrative Dermatology and is committed to a holistic approach to patient care. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA), and she previously served as President and Director at Large for the Illinois SDPA. Currently, she serves as Co-chair of Integrative Dermatology for Diversity in Dermatology.
Passionate about community outreach, Tracee volunteers with the National Eczema Association and has participated in international medical mission trips to Haiti with CHAI. She is also an author of three children’s books—Wally the Wart, Xzema: A Children’s Guide to Happy Skin, and My Eczellent Day at Camp (in collaboration with Sanofi-Regeneron)—designed to educate and empower young patients.
Beyond her clinical and educational work, Tracee is a speaker, mentor, and the founder of Project Skin-X, a personal initiative aimed at supporting individuals with dermatologic conditions while enhancing their self-esteem.
When not in the clinic or supporting her daughter’s busy schedule of auditions and events, Tracee enjoys traveling, shopping, and dancing—where you’ll often find her on the dance floor.
