Michael Kaufmann, MD

Dr. Michael Kaufmann, MD is a board-certified clinical cardiac electrophysiologist at The Huntsville Hospital Heart Center in Huntsville, Alabama. He specializes in treatment and ablation of atrial fibrillation and complex arrhythmias, as well as cardiac device implantation with expertise and focus on conduction system pacing. Dr. Kaufmann completed his medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia, followed by a residency in internal medicine at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his cardiology and clinical cardiac electrophysiology fellowships at Shands Hospital at the University of Florida. Dr. Kaufmann remained on faculty at the University of Florida for three years following completion of his fellowship in electrophysiology, and subsequently returned to his hometown of Huntsville, Alabama to join The Huntsville Hospital Heart Center. In addition to over 10 years of experience in clinical EP practice, he is also actively involved in clinical research on conduction system pacing through Heart Center Research, LLC. Dr. Kaufmann is dedicated to providing patient-centered care using the latest innovations in heart rhythm management.
