Carmen Kavali, MD

Dr. Carmen Kavali is a board-certified plastic surgeon, clinical researcher, educator, and healthcare advocate with more than 20 years of private practice experience and over 15 years as a principal investigator in Phase II–IV clinical trials. She is the founder and CEO of Monarch Plastic Surgery and Skin Renewal Center in Atlanta, Georgia, where she leads a comprehensive aesthetic and reconstructive surgery practice alongside advanced medical spa services.
Dr. Kavali has served as an Allergan Medical Institute Trainer since 2015, educating healthcare professionals across the country on the science, safety, and artistry of nonsurgical aesthetic treatments. Her work as a clinical investigator has included numerous studies involving BOTOX Cosmetic, JUVÉDERM, Kybella, breast implant safety, and emerging technologies in aesthetic medicine.
Dr. Kavali is deeply engaged in organized medicine and physician advocacy. She has served as President of the Medical Association of Atlanta and President of Physicians for Patient Protection, while also holding board positions within the Medical Association of Georgia, the Georgia Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the Southeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons. She sits on the Ethics Committee for The Aesthetic Society. Her longstanding commitment to advancing patient safety, physician-led care, and surgical education has earned her recognition as a respected leader within both state and national medical organizations.
Dr. Kavali earned her Doctor of Medicine and Biomedical Engineering degrees from Mercer University, where she was a Presidential Scholar. She completed her general surgery training at the University of Illinois Metropolitan Group Hospitals and her plastic surgery fellowship in Michigan. She is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and licensed to practice medicine in Georgia, North Carolina, and Virginia.
