ForwardSilvio Podda, Chief of Division of Plastic Surgery SJUMC
Trained in Pediatrics and Genetics in Italy, completed a fellowship in Gene Therapy at Columbia University in New York City, followed by General Surgery training at St. Luke's-Roosevelt in New York, Pediatric Surgery training at Boston's Children's Hospital, Plastic Surgery training at NYU with Dr. JG McCarthy and Craniofacial training at Miami Children's with Dr. SA Wolfe.
Now he is the Director of the Birth Defect Center at St. Joseph's Children's. in Paterson, NJ, and the Chief of Pediatric Plastic Surgery and Craniofacial Surgery at the Regional Craniofacial Center in Paterson, NJ.
He’s currently the director of the residency program in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
He is extremely involved in global health efforts and humanitarian missions.
