Bryan Wells, MD

Dr. Wells is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Wells graduated from the Medical College of Georgia. He completed residency and chief residency in internal medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and cardiology fellowship at Emory University. Dr. Wells is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, vascular medicine, vascular imaging, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology. He is an active member and fellow of the American College of Cardiology, American Society of Echocardiography, and the Society for Vascular Medicine. He is the Director of Vascular Medicine, co-Director of the Vascular Medicine Fellowship, and Director of the Vascular Laboratory for the Division of Cardiology at Emory. He is the past-Chair of the Circulation and Vascular Council and served on the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission Vascular Testing board of directors. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Society for Vascular Medicine. He was co-chair of the ASE Guidelines for Vascular Cannulation in 2025. He is the Emory principal investigator for the Fibromuscular Dysplasia National Registry and the Internal Spontaneous Coronary Dissection Registry. He is a co-investigator for GPAD-3, and multiple renal denervation trials. He has edited two cardiology textbooks and authored many scientific manuscripts related to vascular disease. He is a medical student society small group advisor for the Emory University School of Medicine. He has received multiple teaching awards from the cardiology fellows, internal medicine residents, and student at Emory.
