Jasmine Posner, Columbia College of Columbia University, B.A. Cognitive Science
Jasmine Posner, from Washington Heights, New York City, will spend next year in Spain as a Fulbright grantee conducting melanoma research with a team at Hospital Universitario Virgen del Rocío, affiliates of the University of Seville and the Institute of Biomedicine of Seville. Jasmine’s dedication to research has been shaped by a range of experiences, including her major in Cognitive Science, work at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, a summer research fellowship at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, and her senior thesis project. Beyond the lab, Jasmine holds a strong commitment to global and community health, having served as a Community Health Fellow for the Global Health Organization’s International Young Researchers’ Conference and as a Peer Teaching Fellow for the ACComPLISHED/Medicine and Research Summer Program. Following her Fulbright year in Spain, Jasmine plans to apply to medical school.
