Maria Molina, DNP, AGACNP-BC, FAANP
Dr. Maria R. Molina is an Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Nurse Practitioner at Penn Medicine and Assistant Professor of Informatics for Evidence-Based Practice at City University of New York. She is a global leader in transplant nursing, genomics, and implementation science, currently serving as President of the International Transplant Nurses Society (2023–2025).
With over 15 years of clinical and research experience, her work focuses on immunogenetics, donor-specific antibodies, and translating genomics into clinical practice to improve transplant outcomes and reduce health disparities. She has published extensively, presented internationally, and was a keynote speaker at the United Nations on equity in transplantation.
Dr. Molina is a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (FAANP) and a recipient of multiple national and international awards recognizing excellence in clinical practice, research, and leadership.
