Robert T. Terenzio is the principal of The Law Offices of Robert T. Terenzio, an assisted reproductive technology (ART) law firm with offices in Tampa and Miami. He has practiced exclusively in ART law since 1997 and has been involved in legal work associated with well over 4,000 births. His practice focuses on creating stable, transparent, and legally sound frameworks for individuals and families pursuing parentage through surrogacy, egg donation, embryo donation, and related forms of third-party reproduction.

Robert represents and counsels intended parents, gestational carriers and surrogates, donors, and international clients, with substantial experience serving single parents, LGBTQ+ clients, and families who travel to the United States for fertility care. His work includes drafting and negotiating ART agreements, advising on Florida parentage procedures and coordinating birth-related legal steps. He regularly advises Physicians and Clinics on risk mitigation, legal challenges and ART related litigation.

Robert is admitted to practice in Florida and Connecticut. He is a member of the Family Law Sections of the Florida and Connecticut Bars and the Health Law Section of The Florida Bar. He is also a member of the American Bar Association's Assisted Reproductive Technology Committee, a past member of the ABA ART Executive Council, and a past Member-at-Large of the ABA Family Law Section Council. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Adoption and Assisted Reproduction Attorneys.

His professional affiliations include the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology, the American Society of Law, Medicine and Ethics, the World Law Association, Global Law Experts and the Society for Ethics in Egg Donation and Surrogacy. He has also been a long-time supporter of RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association.

With a background in malpractice defense and risk management, Robert has long advocated for national standards, ethical guidance, and greater transparency among professionals working in the ART arena. He has drafted ethical guidelines for multiple ART associations and has spoken to physicians, nurses, allied medical personnel, attorneys, and intended parents in the United States, Asia, Europe, and South America. His work is grounded in the view that ART legal counsel should provide not only technical legal protection, but also clear information, collaborative professional standards, and steady guidance for families during one of the most significant journeys of their lives.
