LaLarry Danziger, Pharm.D. is a UIC Distinguished Professor, Professor of Pharmacy and Medicine at UIC and Director of the Section of Infectious Diseases, Department of Pharmacy Practice, and the Executive Director of the Collaborative for Advanced Design, Research and Exploration (CADRE). Dr. Danziger has been on faculty at UIC for 40 years. Dr. Danziger's research interests include basic and clinical research regarding both new and old antimicrobials. He has authored or coauthored 162 journal articles and 18 book chapters.  He played a critical role in the redevelopment of paromomycin, an antibiotic originally developed in the 1950s, in collaboration with the WHO.
