Nenita Perez has dedicated more than 40 years to healthcare, including over 20 years as a nurse specializing in long-term care. She has served in a variety of clinical and leadership roles, including bedside nurse, MDS Nurse, Restorative Nurse, Wound Care Nurse, and Nurse Supervisor. She currently serves as the Infection Preventionist and Assistant Director of Nursing at Astoria Place Living and Rehabilitation Center in Chicago, a Legacy Healthcare facility. Passionate about resident advocacy, infection prevention, and quality care, Nenita works collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to support safe transitions and improve outcomes for residents. She is also an active participant in CIMPAR's PALASE Collaborative Program, helping advance antibiotic stewardship initiatives in long-term care settings.
