Christopher Holland, MD, PhD

Christopher M. Holland, MD, PhD is a Board-Certified Complex and Minimally Invasive Neurological Surgeon with Carolina Neurosurgery & Spine Associates in Charlotte, NC, where he is also an Associate Professor at the Wake Forest School of Medicine. Dr. Holland is a fellow of the American Association of Neurologic Surgeons. He received his BS degree in Biology from Boston College, completed graduate work in Computer Science at the Harvard Extension School, and received his MD and PhD as part of the combined degree program at the Boston University School of Medicine. He completed his doctoral research at the Center for Neurological Imaging at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Holland completed his residency and chief residency in Neurological Surgery at Emory University and a fellowship in Complex and Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery at the University of Utah. He is a board member of the Cabarrus Healthcare Foundation and on the Atrium Cabarrus Board of Trustees. In addition, he is the past Chief of the Department of Surgery at Atrium Cabarrus and is the Chair of the Physician Leadership Council.
