Dr. Mukta Sachdev is a senior dermatologist with over 27 years of experience in clinical practice, research, and education, with a distinguished focus on skin of color. She currently serves as the Head of the Department of Dermatology at Manipal Hospital, Bangalore; the Medical Director at MS Clinical Research (MSCR), a dermatology-focused CRO; and the Skin Care Director at MS Skin Centre. 

Dr. Sachdev holds an MD in Dermatology, a Fellowship in Cosmetic Dermatology from Florida, USA, and Diplomas in Dermatology from the UK. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), the Women’s Dermatologic Society (WDS), and the Skin of Color Society (SOCS), in addition to her memberships in IADVL, ACSI, and BDS.

She has led over 500 clinical and cosmeceutical studies, including FDA trials on eczema and acne, and has contributed extensively to the development of protocols for lasers and chemical peels in diverse skin types. As a Global Key Opinion Leader and Laser Expert for Skin of Color, she is a frequent speaker at national and international forums.

Her academic contributions include co-authoring three textbooks on cosmetic dermatology in ethnic skin and publishing extensively in indexed journals. Her recent work, Essentials for Aesthetic Dermatology in Ethnic Skin, highlights inclusive, ethical approaches in aesthetic care. Dr. Sachdev’s leadership, innovation, and advocacy for skin of color make her a globally respected authority in dermatology.
