Safia S. Khan, MD, DAASM, FAAFP

Dr. Safia Khan is a board-certified Sleep Specialist and Family Physician. She is an Associate Professor for the Department of Family & Community Medicine and the Department of Neurology at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center where she serves as the Program Director for their Sleep Medicine Fellowship.

She is the Chair of the Accreditation Committee for the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), and member of the Obesity Management Taskforce for AASM. Her special interests and scholarly works have highlighted sleep disorders among women. She is the author of many research articles, and co-editor of the book ‘A Clinical Casebook of Sleep Disorders in Women’.
