Matthew Bruno PA-C has been in clinical practice as a dermatology physician assistant at the Dermatology and Skin Cancer Surgery Center (DSCSC) in Allen, TX since 2006 with a special interest in psoriasis and atopic dermatitis.  There, he serves as the Director of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), overseeing 10 APPs across 12 clinics, plus is responsible for the clinical training and assimilation of all newly hired APPs.  In addition to his director duties and full-time clinical practice, Matt has academic appointments as Adjunct Professor at University of North Texas and St. Francis of Assisi, and is a clinical preceptor for PA and nurse practitioner (NP) students from the University of North Texas, Austin College PA Program, University of Texas-Medical Branch, Texas Tech University, South College Knoxville, and Tennessee & Bethel University.  Matt has served in multiple leadership roles including on the Legislative Affairs, Continuing Medical Education (CME), and Conference CME Committees of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.  He is a frequently invited speaker at conferences, educational events, industry advisory panels, and CME.  His current leadership roles include Board Member and Faculty for Maui Derm NPPA and the Dermatology Education Foundation, Faculty for CDNPPA, and Founder of Career Development Outside Clinic (CDOC).  He has a passion for charitable and community work, is on the Board of Project Happy Face, and holds leadership roles in numerous community organizations.  Matt attended Louisiana State University where he completed double Bachelor of Science degrees in Zoology and Plant Biology in 1999, and an additional Bachelor of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2006.
