Thomas M. Todoran is a graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine. He trained in internal medicine at Duke University Hospital, cardiology fellowship at Barnes Jewish Hospital and interventional fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital. He joined the faculty at Medical University of South Carolina in 2010 where he serves as the Director of Vascular Medicine and Intervention, Director of Cardiology Clinical Trials and Co-director of the Hypertension Center. Dr. Todoran is a Professor of Medicine and Surgery in the Departments of Cardiovascular Medicine and Vascular Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions and Society of Vascular Medicine. His primary clinical and research interests are endovascular treatment of vascular diseases, renal denervation and hypertension. As a clinical trialist, he has served as site principal investigator on multiple landmark clinical trials including Symplicity HTN, Radiance-SOLO, Radiance II, Radiance-TRIO, THRIVE Study, TARGET BP and RADAR. Dr. Todoran serves as the President Elect, is a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of the National PERT Consortium. He is also a Councilor for the South Carolina Chapter of American College of Cardiology.
