Geoffrey Rose, MD
Geoffrey A. Rose, M.D., FACC, FASE, is a senior vice president at Advocate Health and serves as President, Advocate Health National Heart & Vascular Service Line. As the Jerome J. & Rosalind S. Richardson Endowed Chair in Cardiovascular Medicine and Professor of Medicine at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Dr. Rose also serves as President, Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute.
Recognized as a Fellow of both the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE), Dr. Rose served as Program Chair for the ASE 2017 Scientific Sessions. A former member of ASE Board of Directors, he presently serves as ASE representative to the AMA RUC.
Dr. Rose is the former President of the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission. Focused on identifying and implementing best operational practices, he served as Course Co-Director for the ACC Cardiovascular Summit. He has previously chaired the Partners in Quality Committee for the ACC, and he served as an inaugural member of the Board of Managers for ACC MedAxiom. He was named to the ACC Board of Trustees in 2025.
Dr. Rose is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine (Chief Resident) at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He received his training in cardiovascular disease at the Massachusetts General Hospital, where he completed an additional research fellowship in echocardiography. He received the Lifetime Achievement Award in Echocardiography from the ASE in 2025.
