Chau Vo, MD

Chau N. Vo, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology, Section of Cardiac Electrophysiology, at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). She is a cardiac electrophysiologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of complex cardiac arrhythmias, with particular expertise in advanced catheter ablation and cardiac implantable electronic device therapies.
Dr. Vo’s clinical and academic interests focus on complex ventricular arrhythmias, including ventricular tachycardia (VT) and VT storm, as well as challenging atrial and ventricular arrhythmia ablation. Her expertise includes advanced substrate-based mapping and ablation, epicardial and intramural arrhythmia management, ventricular arrhythmias in patients with advanced heart failure and left ventricular assist devices (LVADs), and imaging-guided ablation strategies. Her clinical practice also encompasses the implantation and management of pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs), cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) devices, and other advanced cardiac rhythm management technologies.
Her academic work focuses on emerging technologies and innovative approaches to improve the safety and effectiveness of complex arrhythmia treatment, including advanced cardiac imaging, novel energy sources, device therapies, and new catheter ablation techniques. Dr. Vo has contributed to peer-reviewed publications, scientific abstracts, and clinical research in cardiac electrophysiology and general cardiology, with particular emphasis on complex ventricular arrhythmias and advanced ablation strategies. She is also an active speaker and presenter at national and regional cardiovascular and electrophysiology conferences, including the Heart Rhythm Society (HRS), American College of Cardiology (ACC), and EP/IEP conferences, where she presents clinical research and educational content on advanced arrhythmia management and complex ablation.
Through clinical care, research, innovation, and education, Dr. Vo is committed to advancing treatment options for patients with complex and life-threatening cardiac arrhythmias and to training the next generation of cardiac electrophysiologists.
