Dr. Susan K. Lee, PhD, RN, CNE, CPXP, FAAN, ANEF, FHX, is an accomplished nurse leader in nursing practice and education. She serves as the Program Director-Professor for The University of Texas-MD Anderson's School of Health Professions Healthcare Analytics and Advocacy Program. Dr. Lee has 2 research foci- improving nursing education and finding solutions to prevent homelessness. She led the Texas Team Advancing Education Action Coalition to promote and improve nursing education in Texas. Dr. Lee’s proven grounded theory researched homeless veterans’ healthcare decision-making processes.  Dr. Lee served on the Veterans Administration Advisory Committee for Homeless Veterans in Washington, D.C., advising the President of the United States and Congress on policies to prevent homelessness and improve outcomes of veterans. Her dedication to the issue of ending veteran homelessness was instrumental in keeping it as one of the top five Presidential priorities by advocating for combining ending veteran homelessness with preventing veteran suicide. She is dedicated to improving health outcomes of underserved populations and champions improving global health outcomes. Dr. Lee has presented nationally and internationally at peer-reviewed conferences and has published in peer-reviewed journals. She has held leadership roles in numerous regional, state, and national healthcare agencies/organizations.
