Mona Pearl Treyball, PhD, RN, CNS, CCRN-K, FAAN, Colonel (Retired), USAF, Teaching Professor and Specialty Director, Veteran and Military Health Care Academic Programs, at the University of Colorado College of Nursing, and Co-Chair of the Partnerships for Veteran and Military Health Conference. She is the Chair of the American Academy of Nursing Lifespan and Populations Policy Committee. As the first President of the Association of Military-Veteran Nursing, she leads a national expert panel to codify the Scope and Standards of Practice and gain recognition. She served on the American Nurses Association Committee on Nursing Practice Standards and revising the 2025 Code of Ethics for Nurses. Colonel Pearl Treyball served in the US Air Force Nurse Corps for 22 years, with assignments as Inspector General, Commander, Director Medical Directorate Air Force Reserve, and Special Assistant to the Secretary of the Air Force. She has 40 years of nursing, numerous accolades, and is passionate about providing care for service members, veterans, and families.
