Sherrie Ballantine-Talmadge, DO
Dr. Sherrie Ballantine-Talmadge is a Chicago native and former team physician for Northwestern University. She is trained in both Family Medicine and Sports Medicine. She enjoys utilizing her broad spectrum of training to care for active individuals and athletes as a primary care sports medicine physician.
Her unique combination of osteopathic and sports training allows her to approach patients in a comprehensive manner, including osteopathic manipulation as needed, for the recreational to the Olympic-level athlete. Dr. Ballantine-Talmadge completed her Sports Medicine Fellowship in Toledo, Ohio. She has worked at three Division I universities, and travels as a team physician with US Figure Skating. Currently, she serves as the Chair of US Figure Skating Sports Science and Medicine Committee. In addition, she works with Team USA with US Para Sled Hockey team. She has also provided coverage at the Chicago Marathon and at the Kona Ironman Triathlon. In Boulder, she works at the CU Sports Medicine & Performance Center, where she is the Director of Outreach. She is the Medical Director for Boulder Valley School District Varsity Athletics and serves on the Brain injury Resource Team where she and the team help direct and manage Boulder Valley School District's concussion program. She loves to create and develop special sports medicine programs and her current labor of love is creating a new Equestrian Sports Medicine program for the Center.
Dr. Ballantine-Talmadge relocated to Colorado to enjoy hiking as well as skiing, canoeing, horseback riding and many other outdoor activities with her husband and daughters.
