Dr. Hatzidakis is an orthopedic surgeon with primary expertise in injuries of the shoulder in practice at Western Orthopaedics in Denver, CO. He earned his BA degree from Grinnell College (Iowa) and a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. After medical school, he completed his Orthopaedic Surgery training at the University of Nebraska and Creighton University combined residency program. He then pursued a unique American and European shoulder and elbow fellowships; spending one year with upper extremity specialists in San Francisco and then eight months at centers of excellence in England, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and France.

Dr. Hatzidakis specializes in shoulder arthroplasty and soft tissue procedures, complex revision surgeries and and upper extremity fracture care.  His research interests include patient outcomes after shoulder surgery, and his current research studies focus on Pyrocarbon hemiarthroplasty outcomes, superior capsular reconstruction, and outcomes after revision arthroplasty.  

He currently serves as the fellowship director for the Western Orthopaedics and Rose Medical Center Shoulder and Elbow Fellowship.  In addition to his fellowship teaching responsibilities, Dr. Hatzidakis active in teaching other surgeons complex shoulder techniques.
