Michelle Osorio, MPH

Michelle has nearly 10 years of experience in sexuality education, HIV prevention, and community outreach. She currently serves as a contract manager with the Austin Public Health HIV Resources Administration for the federal Ending the HIV Epidemic initiative. Prior to this role, Michelle led the Austin/Travis County Fast-Track Cities program and and spear-headed four community-driven workgroups with the aim of ending HIV in the Austin/Travis County area by 2030. Michelle spent two years as a Disease Intervention Specialist with the Austin Public Health Communicable Disease Unit, providing public health follow-up for HIV and syphilis in Austin/Travis County. Prior to that, she served in the U.S. Peace Corps as an HIV Prevention Specialist with Fundación VIHDA, a non-profit HIV testing center in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Michelle has extensive experience conducting HIV/STI counseling, creating sexual health presentations, and fostering collaboration between community partners. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English as well as a master's degree in Public Health with a concentration in Health Policy.
