Ken Martin, BBA
Ken Martin joined Austin Public Health’s HIV Resources Administration program in December 2021, as the Grants Program Manager and was hired as the Program Manager II in August 2023. Previously, he worked at the University of Texas as a program coordinator for the Texas Homeless Education Office and in 2019 he joined the Higher Education Services team at the Center. Before that, Ken served for twelve years as executive director of the Texas Homeless Network (THN), where he also provided training and technical assistance to social services agencies throughout Texas and led the agency’s local, state, and federal legislative advocacy efforts on issues related to ending homelessness. He has experience in the management of both U.S. Dept of Health and Human Services’ Health Resources Services Administration and U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development grants and funds. Ken also has ten years’ experience as a child protective services specialist and seven years’ experience managing grants and homeless systems for Tarrant County, including working for a time as the HIV Planning Council Coordinator.
