Dr. Christina Twardowski is a graduate of the Illinois College of Optometry and completed her residency in pediatric optometry at Children’s Mercy Hospital.  Since the completion of her residency, she has been practicing at Children’s Mercy Hospital (CMH) in the Ophthalmology Department and is currently the Director of the CMH Pediatric Optometry Residency Program.  Dr. Twardowski developed the CMH myopia progression clinic and has an integral role in performing complex medical contact lens fittings including scleral lenses and infant aphakia.  She enjoys lecturing at various conferences, both regionally and nationally, on a variety of pediatric ocular conditions with an emphasis in pediatric anterior segment disease.
