Dr. Sobalvarro is a board certified, pediatric psychologist at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital (JHACH) and assistant professor through Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Florida and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric psychology at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. In her current role, Dr. Sobalvarro provides clinical care to patients in the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Interdisciplinary Eating Disorder Clinic and in outpatient therapy. She specializes in treating eating disorders and pediatric mental health disorders. Dr. Sobalvarro is also a well-published researcher and the principal investigator on several research projects. She supervises psychology trainees and assists with providing education on depression and eating disorders to the medical residents. She is also involved in several community efforts to increase mental health awareness.
