Fatma Levent, MD

Dr. Levent is currently the Medical Director of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases section of Pediatrics Department at AdventHealth for Children, in Orlando, Florida and holds faculty appointment as a Clinical Associate Professor with Florida State University at their Orlando Campus. She received her medical degree at Çukurova University in Adana, Turkey. She completed a Pediatric Residency at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, TX, followed by a Pediatric Infectious Diseases fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine.
She is board certified in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Diseases. She is a member of multiple professional societies including American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society (PIDS) and Society of Hospital Epidemiology of America (SHEA). In the last two years, she has been involved in Florida Chapter of AAP Infectious Diseases and Immunization Committees. She has been co-chair of the Antibiotic Stewardship Committee and Infection Control Committee at AdventHealth for Children. In addition to patient care, and administrative duties, she has been involved with clinical research, quality improvement projects and teaching of medical and nurse practitioner students, residents and fellows.
