Irene Gamra, MD, MPH
Irene Gamra is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology at the University of Florida in Gainesville. She completed her pediatric gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and joined the University of Florida faculty in 2024. Her clinical practice focuses on intestinal failure and intestinal rehabilitation, with expertise in the management of children with short bowel syndrome and other causes of intestinal failure. She also has special interests in pediatric nutrition and disorders of gut-brain interaction (DGBI). As a member of the University of Florida's Pediatric Intestinal Rehabilitation Program, and as a contributor to the development of its DGBI program, she cares for children with complex gastrointestinal and nutritional disorders through a multidisciplinary approach.
