John MacGregor, MD is a cardiac electrophysiologist with prior subspecialty training in heart failure and cardiac transplantation. He is a Pacific Northwest native and spent part of his childhood in Bellingham. He returned to Bellingham in 2006 and has practiced in that community for 20 years. Dr. MacGregor is a designated fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society (FHRS), and board certified in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology. He was the first to perform the Micra ® Transcatheter Pacing System (the world’s smallest pacemaker) implant procedure, and the first to implant a Watchman Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion device, at PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center. He has served as Associate Medical Director for Cardiac Electrophysiology in Bellingham for over 10 years.
