Dr. Yogeswaran is an academic cardiologist with advanced training in echocardiography (Level III) and cardiovascular epidemiology at the University of Washington. Her clinical practice is focused on prevention, valvular heart disease, and echocardiography, while her research is focused on imaging tools to improve early detection and risk stratification. She was raised in London and New York and completed medical school at the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine. She then completed my internal medicine training at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF), followed by general cardiology fellowship, advanced echocardiography training (Level III), and cardiovascular epidemiology research training at the University of Washington. As a faculty member, she is now building a career and research program focused on improving early detection of cardiovascular disease across diverse populations using novel imaging tools. Dr. Yogeswaran has over 35 peer-reviewed publications, written several imaging-focused textbook chapters, and has several ongoing projects and publications in progress.
