ForwardMA-ACC 2026 Annual Meeting
The Massachusetts Chapter of the American College of Cardiology (MA-ACC) 2026 Annual Meeting is a comprehensive educational program designed to provide cardiologists, cardiovascular clinicians, fellows, trainees, and other healthcare professionals with current, evidence-based updates in cardiovascular medicine.
The program will address key topics relevant to contemporary cardiovascular practice, including lipid management and Lp(a), hypertension, multimodality cardiac imaging, pulmonary embolism and PERT, and other emerging and clinically relevant areas of cardiovascular care. Faculty experts will review current guidelines, recent advances, and practical approaches to diagnosis and management, with opportunities for participant engagement and discussion.
The meeting will also feature presentations of original research through a trainee and early-career abstract competition, providing an opportunity to highlight emerging research and foster professional development within the cardiovascular community.
Target Audience
The target audience includes cardiologists, cardiovascular medicine specialists, primary care physicians, advanced practice providers (NPs and PAs), fellows, residents, and other healthcare professionals involved in the prevention, diagnosis, and management of cardiovascular disease.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to: Apply current lipid management guidelines to assess cardiovascular risk and incorporate Lp(a) measurement into appropriate patient evaluation and management. Implement evidence-based strategies for the diagnosis and management of hypertension, including recommendations from current guideline-directed approaches. Recognize the clinical presentation of pulmonary embolism and apply practical approaches to risk stratification and management, including the appropriate use of a Pulmonary Embolism Response Team (PERT). Describe the clinical applications of cardiac PET/CT in differentiating obstructive from non-obstructive coronary artery disease and distinguishing cardiac sarcoidosis from potential mimics. Incorporate current evidence and expert recommendations into clinical practice to improve the prevention, diagnosis, and management of cardiovascular disease
