Applied Craniofacial Assessment for the Advanced Aesthetic Practitioner: From Skeletal Pattern to Soft Tissue Treatment Planning

An advanced, evidence based program designed to develop a structured approach to craniofacial assessment in aesthetic medicine. The course integrates craniofacial development, dentoskeletal relationships, facial and profile analysis, simplified cephalometric principles and soft tissue assessment. Participants will learn how to translate skeletal and soft tissue findings into individualized aesthetic treatment planning through interactive teaching and case based demonstration.

Target Audience

Advanced aesthetic providers (RN, NP, PA, DNP, MD, DO) across the United States interested in expanding basic anatomy, assessment, and aging knowledge into orthodontics and maxillofacial surgery and translate into practical aesthetic assessment.

Learning Objectives

Review how craniofacial development shapes the face
Explain the difference between hard tissue versus soft tissue assessment
Identify why skeletal support determines facial aging
Differenctiate between high and low angle facial patterns
Classify Class I, Class II, and Class III facial relationships accurately using streamlined visual assessment techniques.
Perform a soft-tissue facial profile analysis using simplified, non-cephalometric landmarks.
Review how teeth influence lip support, chin projection, and facial harmony
Distinguishing developmental anatomy from age related change
Identify what non invasive aesthetic treatments can improve and where limitations begin
Recognizing when referral is more important than treatment
