Tina K. Thethi, MD, is a board-certified endocrinologist who completed her fellowship and earned a master’s in public health from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she was faculty, as well. She currently is an associate investigator at the AdventHealth Translational Research Institute, and her clinical practice is at the AdventHealth Diabetes Institute, both in Orlando, Florida. Dr. Thethi’ s research centers around obesity and complications in diabetes types 1 and 2 with a focus on diabetic kidney disease. A key goal of her career is to better understand the pathogenesis of chronic kidney disease and identify biomarkers that enable earlier diagnosis of diabetic kidney disease. She also strives to integrate the teaching of spirituality into the practice of medicine.
