Medical Cannabis: Risks, Side Effects, and Clinical Considerations
BOC credit provided by Niel Asher. This course provides a clinical overview of medical cannabis, focusing on its pharmacology, potential therapeutic uses, risks, and side effects. Nurses, including RNs, NPs, and CNSs, will examine how cannabis may impact patient care across a range of conditions, including pain, anxiety, and chronic illness. Emphasis is placed on patient safety, monitoring, and evidence-informed clinical decision-making. The course supports nurses in understanding how to assess, educate, and respond to patients using or considering medical cannabis as part of their care.
